Our books for cancer patients are good for anyone, whether you have been diagnosed with cancer or not. The World Cancer Research Fund estimates that about 20% of all cancers diagnosed in the US are related to body fatness, physical inactivity, excess alcohol consumption, and/or poor nutrition, and thus could be prevented.

Books for cancer patients cancer exercise training instituteMaybe you were an avid exerciser before your diagnosis. Maybe you had never exercised a day in your life. Our books for cancer patients are designed to help you to re-gain control of your mind and body at a time that you may feel that you have lost control. Whether you are trying to get back to being a competitive bodybuilder, Triathlete, swimmer, or just wanting to be a healthier version of you, our books for cancer patients will help you to determine the appropriate next steps.

The American Cancer Society and American College of Sports Medicine roundtable on exercise guidelines for cancer survivors states that existing evidence strongly suggests that exercise is not only safe and feasible during cancer treatment, but that it can also improve physical functioning, fatigue, and multiple aspects of quality of life. As with any exercise program, you MUST consult with your physician prior to beginning ANY exercise program; no matter how simple it may seem! If you would like guidance in beginning an exercise program that will be customized to meet your individual needs and goals, please consult with a CETI Cancer Exercise Specialist.
